He looked at me quizzically and asked, "What does salad have to do with lasagna?"
"Don't you always eat salad with your lasagna?" I replied, equally surprised.
Apparently not. I later found that he even ate tacos without lemonade and meatloaf without a side of peas! Shocking, huh?
Since we're staying with Joshua's family for the summer, it's been a unique experience to get to watch my "other mom" run her home. After growing up in a large family myself, I've enjoyed observing how another (even larger) family operates and realize afresh how different two large families-who are committed to the same beliefs and goals- can be in the day to day running of the homes.... and just how many things I can learn from both!
From food to organization to child-training, I'm so blessed to have two wonderful examples of practical wisdom. And since I've been enjoying it, I thought it would be fun to share a few, rather random, gleanings from my mothers over the next few weeks. :)

I got a laugh out of that one. We never had lemonade with tacos and it was broccoli that went with the meatloaf.:)
